I had been booked by the brides mother Shona to photograph this wedding so I had only briefly met James and Elspeth, they travelled from their home in Thirsk to be married at Newcastle. The wedding service was held at The Newcastle Reformed Evangelical Church and the reception was at Kirkley Hall in Northumberland.
Early nerves gave way to relaxed enjoyment as the day went on. The Sun shone and James, Elspeth and their guests were able to relax in Kirkley Hall,s beautiful grounds.A fantastic day for everyone.
Wedding photography at Shotley Bridge by Gerard Turner In Focus Studio.
I love a local church wedding.Saint Cuthberts at Shotley Bridge was the scene for this wedding almost a year ago to the day.Sam and James from Bridgehill had fantastic weather and were able to enjoy a marquee reception at Shotley Bridge Cricket Club.
As a regular wedding photographer at The South Causey Inn. it has been a pleasure to share some wonderful days at this fantastic local venue.Over the last 10 years the "Causey" in Stanley has developed into a dream wedding venue,
The themed rooms, private grounds and the stunning "Barn" have made it one of the areas most popular wedding venues.
Here are a selection of images from 2016.

Chris and Katies wedding and reception at Ramside Hall
I have been taking a look back at some of the memorable weddings that I had the good fortune to photograph during 2015.This wedding was in April. The service itself was at The Immaculate Heart of Mary Church on Lobley Hill.
The run down the A1 did,nt take long and we were soon at Ramside Hall for some great photography
Professional wedding photography at the beautiful Langley Castle
Langley Castle is situated just off the A69 near Haydon Bridge. This fairytale setting is one of the most sought after wedding venues in Northumberland. Its medievil splendour has been commented on in countless wedding reviews.
As an established north east wedding photographer I have the pleasure of visiting some of the areas most impressive locations, but I have to say this is at the very top of the tree. The grandness of the Castle is immediately evident when you arrive at the front gate and the immaculately kept grounds lend themselves readily to wedding photography
A good opportunity to see what this venue has to offer is to attend the next wedding fayre which is scheduled for Sunday November 20th 2016.The management and staff will be on hand to guide you while a host of hand picked suppliers will be exhibiting. Here are a selection of photos from a wedding that I covered in July 2015.
A beautiful day in every respect..
