I spent many years as a part time wedding photographer and during my time as a successful engineering manager a camera was never far from my side. In 2009 I retrained with an ex fleet street photographer and went into photography full time.
I set up In Focus Studio in 2010 and I have steadily grown a successful wedding business gaining work mainly from referrals and recommendations. I have worked hard to create a quality product and kept pace with changing trends and camera advances.
In 2014 I gained my licentiate with The Society of Wedding and Portrait Photographers. A proud moment for me.
My style, every photographer has to have a style, is traditional with a modern twist. I like nothing better than mixing with the party and soaking up the atmosphere. My wife Anne and I work as a team and people often comment on how we have contributed to the day itself. We like a laugh and always try to make the most of the venue and the people we are with.
I discuss the photography with you and I work to your instructions. You may not know what you want? I will listen and make suggestions.
I always visit the venue beforehand (If it is new to me) to seek out photo opportunities and make sure I have a plan B for if it rains. You can meet me there if you wish.
As a full time professional I can dedicate my time to getting your work back to you. This is important because part time photographers can easily end up with a backlog of work during busy periods.
How often have you heard it took ages to get my wedding photographs?
My Wedding albums are created to the highest standards and all the images in them undergo post processing to make sure you look your best and all distractions are removed.
